Styczynski Walker is a residential architectural design firm providing services which include plans and specifications to meet the NAHB Green Building Guidelines and the soon to be released NAHB Green Building Standards.
The Green House was designed for an existing lot in Downers Grove, to fit the character of the existing streetscape. Attention and care was given to maintain the existing Spruce trees and other significant shrubbery to give the house the feeling that it has always been there. The facade is a variation of an Arts and Crafts theme, utilizing Eldorado Stone, James Hardie siding and cedar for a virtually maintenance free exterior. The home was designed to meet the National Association of Home Builders Green Building Guidelines and is an Energy Star rated home.
